Our experience across Birmingham since 1996 has confirmed our belief that vulnerable people need the following in order to build a life that is as meaningful and independent as possible:

  • A secure and therapeutic living environment in a positive community setting
  • An appropriate level of person-centred support
  • Signposting to other agencies and activities that will enhance their lives

We currently offer 3 services based on the belief and values set out above:

This service provides appropriate accommodation in a Future HSC property for vulnerable people in the community, particularly those with mental health issues and/or learning disabilities. All our properties are secure and maintained in excellent condition by our Future Repairs and Maintenance Service.

We then ensure that an appropriate level of support and signposting is provided either by Future HSC’s Housing Officers (click  – Our Housing Officers ), by Future’s Home Support Service (click here) or by an outside Support Provider who will work in partnership with Future HSC.(click – Partners)

  • OUR RESPITE SERVICE (click – Respite )

This service provides a safe haven for people experiencing a crisis in their mental health by providing some time away from their everyday circumstances where their healing has space to begin.  We also ensure that our highly skilled support workers offer sensitive and compassionate support whilst working in close collaboration with statutory mental health teams provided by our partners, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. This service, which is a Domiciliary Care service regulated by the Care Quality Service, offers the opportunity for support and care services to be provided by Future HSC for vulnerable adults within their own homes.  These services include appropriate assistance with a range of practical and social activities such as personal care, assistance with domestic tasks and budgeting skills and supporting access to education and leisure activities.
